01Creative platform

The red thread through everything. The platform is built on research into your company, the occasion and the moment we are in, and it drives venue, programme, food and entertainment across every event.

Our platform

The Century Horizon

Decades of stewardship meeting the zero-emission ocean.

The claim

Decades of stewardship meeting the zero-emission ocean.

The big idea

Map the 100-year evolution from traditional liner shipping to clean infrastructure through spatial horizons that bridge past generations and future fleets.

In 1927, Leif Høegh established a shipping business built on long-term perspective. Across ten decades and changing global trade routes, that foundational family stewardship provided the stability required to undertake multi-generational industrial transformations. Today, that legacy transitions from carbon-heavy ocean transport into specialized energy infrastructure and zero-emission shipping.

The Century Horizon creates a physical and narrative timeline connecting the founding maritime roots with the arrival of Höegh Silverlight. It honors four generations of employees, retirees, and leadership who anchored the business, while establishing the architectural and operational blueprint for the next hundred years on the water.

Why this, now

Leif Höegh & Co remains controlled by the founding family with a 53.2 percent equity stake. This platform directly connects family longevity to the risk capital required for long-term fleet renewal and decarbonization.

The insight behind it

Stable ownership structures support multi-decade capital projects.

Key messages
  • 01Family stewardship enables multi-decade industrial vision.
  • 02100 years of adaptive ocean shipping laid the groundwork for net-zero transport.
  • 03Unifying four companies under a shared commitment to long-term responsibility.
Visual direction

Matte oak timber framing, brushed brass details, deep ocean blue textiles, and warm light lines set at eye-level horizon heights. Physical exhibition walls with archival photography framed alongside technical drafts of zero-emission hull designs.

How it plays out per event
Höegh Family Picnic

Interactive historical shoreline trail set in an outdoor park setting, featuring wooden pavilions representing each decade since 1927, maritime workshop stations for children, and an open-air family dining hall.

Signature moment: The Horizon Bell ceremony where four generation representatives—a retiree, a current seafarer, an onshore staff member, and a child—jointly ring an original 1927 ship bell to open the picnic grounds.

Aurora Ship Naming Ceremony & Centennial Celebration

A glass-walled ceremonial stage built directly adjacent to the berthed Höegh Silverlight, framed by wide LED horizon ribbons displaying live maritime metrics and historical fleet routes.

Signature moment: A synchronized light projection mapping sequence across the hull of Höegh Silverlight, transitioning from historical vessel silhouettes into a glowing zero-emission engine system during the champagne bottle impact.

02The concept

Platform 1: The Century Horizon

Decades of stewardship meeting the zero-emission ocean.

The Century Horizon anchors the 100th anniversary celebration in the enduring physical reality of century-long maritime stewardship. At Bogstad Gård, the landscape is transformed into an interactive shoreline trail where matte oak timber framing, brushed brass accents, and deep ocean blue textiles delineate a physical timeline across the grounds. Decades of maritime advancement are brought to life through spatial pavilions that connect the wooden hulls of 1927 with the zero-emission designs of tomorrow.

Families move naturally between historic timber pavilions, interactive maritime craft workshops, and covered outdoor dining halls. The visual language balances warmth and structure, using warm eye-level lighting lines to symbolize the constant sea horizon that has guided four generations of seafarers and onshore personnel. The estate grounds become an open-air museum where archival photography sits alongside technical drafts, allowing children and adults alike to grasp the scale of the company history.

Every touchpoint honors the human continuity behind the fleet, culminating in shared ceremonial moments that bridge past and future. From the custom Centennial Villbrygg botanical welcome drink to the resonance of the original 1927 ship bell, the experience reinforces a shared identity rooted in responsible ocean navigation.
